Sex offender CEO of charter jet company pimped out girls as young as 12 sex trafficking probe

A charter jet company CEO pimped out girls as young as 12 to lecherous clients across New York City, advising them to ply the “ghetto rats” with booze and pot to “make them more cooperative,” prosecutors said.

Convicted sex offender Paul Alexander, 57, showed utter disdain for his young victims, said authorities.

“(They’re) from the Bronx … the poorest county,” he advised his johns, telling them they could win over the girls if they drove them around, fed them and gave them “a couple of dollars,” said prosecutors.

Alexander found himself in handcuffs on Thursday when he struck a deal with the wrong client — an undercover cop, authorities said.

Investigators had been tracking the Bronx man since March when a teen girl came forward and said Alexander had sex trafficked her and other girls, authorities said.

The state Attorney General’s Organized Crime Task Force and the NYPD’s Human Trafficking Squad launched an investigation, which they dubbed “Operation Mile High” after learning Alexander was listed as the CEO of Central Jet Charter, a private aircraft charter company.https://78756971b0c62c183fcc4ceb91d5f7f6.safeframe.googlesyndication.com/safeframe/1-0-37/html/container.html?n=0

He was arrested in the Bronx after he offered up a 12-year-old girl and a 14-year-old girl to the undercover officer for $100 each — or $300 for both.

During the sit down, Alexander showed the cop nude pictures of the girls and called the children on the phone for brief meet-and-greets, officials said.

Accused sex trafficker Paul Alexander, 57, was handcuffed Thursday when he struck a deal with an undercover cop, authorities said.

Georgia District Judge REVERSES Previous Order That Said Election Machines Can Be Erased

In a stunning late-night reversal, US District Judge Timothy Batten has reversed a previous order in the Lin Wood filing that stops Georgia from “altering, destroying, or erasing, or allowing the alteration, destruction, or erasure of any software of data on any Dominion voting machine” in three counties.

This order gives the coup plotters 3 days to come up with a defense as to why they shouldn’t allow forensic inspections of the machines.https://platform.twitter.com/embed/index.html?dnt=false&embedId=twitter-widget-0&frame=false&hideCard=false&hideThread=false&id=1333259577182334976&lang=en&origin=https%3A%2F%2Fcentipedenation.com%2F%2Ffirst-column%2Fgeorgia-judge-rules-that-election-machines-can-be-erased-amid-pending-litigations%2F&theme=dark&widgetsVersion=ed20a2b%3A1601588405575&width=550pxhttps://platform.twitter.com/embed/index.html?dnt=false&embedId=twitter-widget-1&frame=false&hideCard=false&hideThread=false&id=1333263380619137025&lang=en&origin=https%3A%2F%2Fcentipedenation.com%2F%2Ffirst-column%2Fgeorgia-judge-rules-that-election-machines-can-be-erased-amid-pending-litigations%2F&theme=dark&widgetsVersion=ed20a2b%3A1601588405575&width=550px

EARLIER:

Deleting evidence is a weird stance for a judge. Is there really a legitimate reason for wiping the machines on a Sunday of a holiday weekend?

The Judge reversed the original order based on the Defendants’ claim that GA COUNTIES control voting machines. (Apparently the order was given to the state, not county).
Here’s the relevant section from the Judges order:

In addition, Plaintiffs contend that Union County officials have advised that they are going to wipe or reset the voting machines of all data and bring the count back to zero on Monday, November 30. On this basis,Plaintiffs seek a temporary restraining order to impound and preserve the voting machines in the State of Georgia, and to prevent any wiping of data. However, Plaintiffs’ request fails because the voting equipment that they seek to impound is in the possession of county election officials. Any injunction the Court issues would extend only to Defendants and those within their control, and Plaintiffs have not demonstrated that county election officials are within Defendants’ control. Defendants cannot serveas a proxy for local election officials against whom the relief should be sought. Jacobson v. Fla. Sec’y of State, 974 F.3d 1236, 1256–58 (11th Cir. 2020)

Florida police bust large child sex trafficking network, charge nearly 180 individuals

Florida’s Tallahassee Police Department announced Tuesday that a two-year investigation into human and child sex trafficking led to the arrest of 178 individuals.

Operation Stolen Innocence began in November of 2018, with the aim of rescuing a young teenage girl who was being sexually exploited

“The investigation uncovered an enormous amount of electronic evidence that required months to evaluate,” the department wrote in a press release. “The electronic evidence helped investigators further develop the case and determine how many suspects were involved and to what extent.”

Department Chief Lawrence Revell told reporters that the Special Victims Unit’s venture was likely the largest of its kind in city history, with 106 people charged with felonies and 72 others charged with misdemeanors.

Mesa man is extradited from Vietnam on child sex abuse charges

In a rare case of international law enforcement cooperation, a Mesa man was arrested in Vietnam and extradited back to the U.S. related to charges of child sexual exploitation in Maricopa County.

Wade Astle, 46, was previously on the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office’s list of most wanted fugitives, having been on the run since 2017.

Maricopa County Sheriff Paul Penzone called the case an “exceptional” example “of multijurisdiction work” in a press conference Thursday.

In 2017, cyber crimes detectives tracked Astle’s online activity on illegal child pornography sites which triggered a search warrant of his home in Mesa.

Investigators found a “considerable amount of evidence” against Astle after conducting a forensic review of the materials taken during the search warrant.

A grand jury warrant was granted, but Astle was nowhere to be found when law enforcement agents returned to arrest him, Penzone said.

In October, Vietnamese authorities flagged Astle after he visited a U.S. consulate in Ho Chi Minh City.

Vietnamese law enforcement agents tracked Astle back to his Ho Chi Minh City residence and arrested him Oct. 20, said David Gonzales, the U.S. Marshal for the district of Arizona.

Gonzales called the case “very, very unusual,” and said in his 19 years as a marshal he has never encountered an extradition case like it, noting that Vietnam does not have an extradition treaty with the U.S.

When Astle was arrested, he was in possession of tablets, USB devices and portable storage cards.

Astle is suspected to have been involved in sexual exploitation of children in Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries, and is known to have traveled to Thailand and Costa Rica, according to Penzone.

Southeast Asia is a region known for sex tourism. Child abusers from around the world flock to countries with lax enforcement, like Thailand and Vietnam to sexually abuse children, according to a report by child rights organization ECPAT.

Vietnamese authorities transported Astle to an airport in Hanoi on Oct. 23, where he was handed over to deputy U.S. Marshals who had chartered an aircraft to retrieve Astle.

Astle is now at the Los Angles County Jail until he can be transported to Arizona to face ten counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

“It’s amazing to think that the long arm of the law … reached halfway across the world,” said Penzone.

The case involved several U.S. law enforcement agencies, including the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, U.S. Marshals and the FBI.

Penzone and Gonzales both thanked Vietnamese authorities for their help with the case.

“I believe it’s a sign to the American government that they want to work more closely on security issues,” said Gonzales.

Bright’s new bond totals $1.1 million while Hughes’ bonds total $1,040,000.

UPDATE (9/23/2020)

The Dale County Sheriff’s Office rearrested John Bright and Tiffany Hughes Wednesday afternoon on 10 charges each of possession of child pornography.

They both will have another first appearance for these charges Thursday morning.

OZARK, Ala. (WDHN) — An Ozark couple is facing multiple sex crime charges after they allegedly sexually abused a child, according to the Dale County Sheriff’s Office.

Chief Deputy Mason Bynum said the abuse happened continuously over several years to a child under the age of 12.

The suspects — John Bright, 49, and Tiffany Hughes, 32, — were booked into the Dale County Jail Tuesday afternoon.

“This is an ongoing investigation, and we plan to bring additional charges in the future as more evidence is collected,” Bynum wrote in a later press release. “Both subjects were arrested yesterday and made bond today after their 1st appearance hearing. Due to the sensitive nature of these crimes no further information will be released.”

Bright faces charges for first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy, sex abuse of a child less than 12, and electronic solicitation of a child. He is still in the county jail with a $180,000 bond, according to the inmate roster.

Hughes faces charges for first-degree sodomy and sex abuse of a child less than 12. She was released on a $150,000 bail Wednesday.

Authorities find 33 missing children across Virginia, one linked to human trafficking

ROANOKE, Va. – Federal authorities found 33 missing children across the Commonwealth and arrested two men in Roanoke in connection to one child’s disappearance, the U.S. Marshals Service announced Friday.

Through “Operation Find Out Children,” authorities were able to locate these children. Most of the rescues were in Virginia’s larger populated areas, but seven occurred in Southwest Virginia in places like Roanoke and Abingdon.

According to the U.S Marshals Service, a missing 16-year-old girl in the Roanoke area was found with two men who were subsequently arrested. There was evidence of drug trafficking at the scene and one of the men, a convicted felon, had a loaded pistol in his possession.

Another case showed that a 14-year-old girl was reported missing by her family in Southwest Virginia. Deputy Marshals deemed her as endangered and a victim of human trafficking. She was found safely in Arlington and returned to her family.

“There is no greater mission for law enforcement than rescuing an endangered child,” acting U.S. Attorney Daniel Bubar of the Western District of Virginia said. “We stand ready to investigate and prosecute any leads that come from this important operation.”

In the past year, the U.S. Marshals investigations in western Virginia have led to the safe recovery of 17 children.

Authorities did not identify any suspects.

The U.S. Marshals Service collaborated with more than 60 law enforcement investigators and more than 50 employees from the Virginia Department of Social Services.

Man Claiming To Be Pastor and Professor Arrested In Massive Ohio Anti-Human Trafficking Sting

COLUMBUS (KDKA) – A man who officials say claimed to be a pastor and local college professor was arrested in connection with what’s believed to be the largest anti-human trafficking operation in Ohio history.

During “Operation Autumn Hope,” dozens of arrests were made by the Central Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force. One arrests made in connection with the operation was 33-year-old Jarod Mills from New Castle.

The attorney general’s office says the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office, which leads the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force, arrested Mills.  A spokesman with the Ohio attorney general’s office says Mills told them he’s a pastor and Butler County Community College professor.

Mills is facing multiple felony charges, including importuning and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.https://34485e637e4c30493812cc7b556ccfe5.safeframe.googlesyndication.com/safeframe/1-0-37/html/container.html?n=0

The Ohio attorney general’s office also says Nathan Lucas of Hermitage, Pennsylvania was another aside from Ohio residents arrested in the anti-human trafficking operation.

The operation led to 109 human trafficking victims being rescued and referred to social surfaces. Meanwhile, 76 missing and exploited children cases were cleared and 45 kids were physically recovered by the U.S. Marshal’s Service.

“The success of Operation Autumn Hope is measured not only in the number of arrests but in the lives that were rescued from this evil. Every agency on this team looks for the day when no person is bought and sold in Ohio. Don’t buy sex in Ohio!” Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost said in a press release.

Thirteen missing children found in West Virginia

Lifetime sex offender pleads guilty to kidnapping, raping Altoona toddler

The Blair County District Attorney’s office announced Friday that 46-year-old Ferdy Crutcher has plead guilty to all charges against him in the case, from last August, in which he was accused of kidnapping and raping a 15-month-old toddler and abandoning him in an Altoona alley.

Authorities say Crutcher plead guilty to all charges Friday, which included attempted homicide, kidnapping and rape of a child.

Police say on August 11, 2019, officers found the child unresponsive in an alley near Lexington Ave.

Investigators say Crutcher was identified as the suspect due to his DNA, which was already in the police system due to a prior conviction in 1993 in which he plead guilty to raping a 17-month-old girl in Johnstown.

The Altoona Police Department, Pennsylvania State Police Crime Lab, Blair County Children and Family Services, and the Blair County Children’s Advocacy Center all assisted in the investigation.

Blair County District Attorney Peter Weeks will be holding a press conference, at 3 p.m., at his office, to formally announced the guilty plea.
