CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. — A 20-year-old University of Georgia student is facing multiple counts of child pornography.

Gabriel Lemay was arrested Wednesday in his dorm room at the UGA campus in Athens.

The Cherokee County sheriff’s department said it received a cyber-tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding child pornography being accessed at Lemay’s Woodstock home.

When investigators arrived at the home Wednesday, they discovered Lemay had returned to UGA, where he is a student.

UGA police officers arrested Lemay and transported him to the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center, where he remains in custody without bond.

Investigators are currently searching computers taken from Lemay’s home. Authorities said Lemay is charged with 15 counts of sexual exploitation of children. Additional charges are possible.

Punta Gorda ‘Satanist’ sentenced for child porn

3/4/2021

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. – A Punta Gorda man was sentenced to three years in prison after pleading guilty to multiple counts of possession of child pornography.

Alexander Keim, 33, who listed his religion as “Satanism” on his arrest report was arrested on April 18, 2019 after deputies found 97 files of child pornography on his computer, according to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office.

Kleim entered a plea deal on February 18 and was charged with six counts of child pornography and one count of transmission of child porn, according to court documents.

The 33-year-old was sentenced to three years in prison with a credit of 673 days served and eight years sex offender probation after the State Attorney’s Office agreed to the plea. He will begin serving just over a year for the crime.

Keim was facing a maximum sentence of 45 years in prison before taking the deal.

The Punta Gorda man will also be required to pay over $14,000 for the cost of the investigation, undergo a mental health evaluation and go to peer support meetings.

Deputies tracked down Keim in 2019 using a software alerting them to the child pornography at the residence, according to CCSO.

Law enforcement searched two Dell laptops and found videos of young girls performing sex acts on grown men on the laptops, according to an arrest report.

Keim, who was living with his parents, was arrested and charged with six counts of possession of a photograph of sexual performance by a child.

Keim’s initial arrest was part of a bigger sting operation called “Operation Safe Summer,” where the Florida Department of Law Enforcement arrested 14 men and one woman in a child pornography bust.

Reward Offered After 11-Year-Old Girl Shot in Face in West Pullman

3/3/2021

A $20,000 reward is being offered to help find the person responsible for shooting an 11-year-old girl in the face late Monday night in Chicago’s West Pullman neighborhood.

According to the girl’s family, she is currently clinging to life at Comer Children’s Hospital after the shooting, which occurred at a gas station at approximately 10:48 p.m.

The girl, identified as Nye-Andrea Dyer, was sitting in a vehicle at the gas station when she was hit by a stray bullet, police said. The girl’s mother says the bullet traveled from her face into her lungs, and doctors are working around the clock to try to save her life.

The girl’s mother, who asked not to be identified, said that her daughter was just going home to complete her homework when she was hit.

Police believe the girl was caught in the crossfire when an unknown assailant opened fire, aiming at a 19-year-old man at the gas station. That man was shot in the groin, and returned fire, police said.

Community activist Andrew Holmes is spearheading the effort to offer a reward in connection to the shooting.

“At any given day and at any given time, someone knows who discharged that weapon and hit this baby,” he said.

Andrea’s mother joined Holmes in calling for someone to step forward with information in the shooting.

“I’m just gonna stay prayed up and I’m just asking you, the shooter, to please give me some closure for my baby. She didn’t deserve this,” she said.

Anyone with information on the shooting is encouraged to call 800-883-5587. Any call that leads to an arrest in the case will be eligible for the reward, and callers are allowed to remain anonymous, Holmes said.

Texas authorities rescue child, arrest 30 in undercover human trafficking probe

3/3/2021

FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas – Multiple federal, state, and area law enforcement agencies conducted an undercover operation targeting human trafficking in Fort Bend County.

The three day operation, dubbed Operation Cupid, resulted in the arrest of 30 individuals as well as the rescue of a juvenile who authorities said was being trafficked.

Craig Priesmeyer, assistant district attorney for the Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office said the operation was targeting the demand side of sex trafficking.

“Trafficking is a two-sided problem, supply and demand, and Operation Cupid was designed to try and eliminate the profitability of commercial sex by targeting those whose sole purpose to show up for an operation like this was to purchase sex,” Priesmeyer said.

Priesmeyer said the individuals arrested were looking and seeking to buy sex from individuals.

“Don’t take it lightly, we rescued a child. We arrested 30 offenders, that’s a big thing,” said Fort Bend County Sheriff Eric Fagan. “Perpetrators should know, Fort Bend County is no longer a place where you can come easily to commit these crimes, we’re out there now, we’re looking for you, and we will arrest you.”

Comic Chris D’Elia accused of soliciting child porn from 17-year-old girl

3/3/21

Embattled comedian Chris D’Elia was accused of sexual exploitation and violation of child pornography laws in a new civil lawsuit filed California federal court on Tuesday.

The accuser, who goes by Jane Doe in the filing seen by Page Six, claims that in 2014 — when she was 17 years old — D’Elia connected with her on social media. She claims that he knew she was underage, since he commented on one of her high school “spirit day” photos.

The lawsuit claims D’Elia, then 34, invited the accuser to one of his shows, which she and a friend attended in Connecticut. However, before the performance, he asked the accuser to come up to his hotel room but told her friend to leave or else he wouldn’t open the door, the filing states.

Once inside his hotel room, D’Elia — who via a spokesperson denied the claims — “grabbed” the teen’s hand and pleasured himself, according to the lawsuit. Afterward, D’Elia allegedly instructed the plaintiff to undress herself while he watched and then had sex with her despite the fact that she told him “several” times that she was 17 and still in high school.

The lawsuit claims D’Elia responded “hot” when told she was a minor. (Connecticut law says the age of consent is 16.)

“Chris denies these allegations and will vigorously defend against them in court,” a spokesperson for D’Elia told the Los Angeles Times.

D’Elia then “constructed a manipulative, controlling, and abusive dynamic in which he demanded Ms. Doe provide him sexually explicit images of herself over the internet, directed her what specific sexual poses and acts she should perform for him, and psychologically punished her when she refused,” the lawsuit alleges.

Over the course of six or seven months, the teen reportedly sent D’Elia more than 100 sexually explicit photos and videos.

Their communication continued until May 2015, the lawsuit says. Doe turned 18 on Jan. 31, 2015.

The lawsuit seeks damages to be assessed at trial.

The lawsuit comes after D’Elia was accused of sexual misconduct by multiple women. D’Elia, now 40, denied the allegations and claimed his interactions were all “consensual.”

His agency, CAA, dropped him amid the claims.

D’Elia returned to social media in February to release a lengthy video addressing the claims against him.

“I do know how it looks with all the stuff that’s been said,” D’Elia said. “I know it looks bad, and it doesn’t show the full scope of what happened.”

He maintained that all of his “relationships have been consensual and legal,” but admitted “sex controlled my life.”

“I have a problem … I need to do work on that.”

Rep. Ronny Jackson made sexual comments, drank alcohol and took Ambien while working as White House physician, Pentagon watchdog finds

3/3/2021

The Department of Defense inspector general has issued a scathing review of Rep. Ronny Jackson during his time serving as the top White House physician, concluding that he made “sexual and denigrating” comments about a female subordinate, violated the policy for drinking alcohol while on a presidential trip and took prescription-strength sleeping medication that prompted concerns from his colleagues about his ability to provide proper care.

The findings outlined in the report, which was obtained by news prior to its expected release on Wednesday, stem from a years-long IG investigation into Jackson — who currently represents Texas in the House of Representativesand sits on the House Armed Services subcommittee overseeing military personnel — that was launched in 2018 and examines allegations that date back to his time serving during the Obama and Trump administrations. Members of Congress were briefed on the IG report findings on Tuesday, according to two sources familiar with the matter.

Jackson claimed the report was politically motivated in a statement to reports on Tuesday, saying the inspector general “resurrected” old allegations against him because he refused to “turn my back on President (Donald) Trump,” who was a vocal supporter of his 2020 congressional bid. He also told reports he rejects “any allegation that I consumed alcohol while on duty.”

After interviewing 78 witnesses and reviewing a host of White House documents, investigators concluded that Jackson, who achieved the rank of Rear Admiral, failed to treat his subordinates with dignity and respect, engaged in inappropriate conduct involving the use of alcohol during two incidents and used sleeping medication during an overseas trip that raised concerns about his ability to provide medical care to the President and other top officials, according to the report.

The report also notes that the investigation into Jackson “was limited in scope and unproductive” as White House counsel under Trump insisted on being present at all interviews of current White House Medical Unit employees, which had a “potential chilling effect” on the probe.

The report also notes that the investigation into Jackson “was limited in scope and unproductive” as White House counsel under Trump insisted on being present at all interviews of current White House Medical Unit employees, which had a “potential chilling effect” on the probe.

“We determined that the potential chilling effect of their presence would prevent us from receiving accurate testimony,” the report states, adding that fieldwork stopped for about 10 months, between October 11, 2018, and August 22, 2019, as the Department of Defense inspector general and White House counsel determined whether the White House would invoke executive privilege, which they ultimately did not do.

Ambien and alcohol on trips with the President

Still, the conclusions about Jackson’s conduct are striking. Allegations about his explosive temper and creating a hostile work environment are consistent throughout his time in both the Obama and Trump administrations as an “overwhelming majority of witnesses (56) … who worked with RDML Jackson from 2012 through 2018 told us they personally experienced, saw, or heard about him yelling, screaming, cursing, or belittling subordinates,” the report says.

“Many of these witnesses described RDML Jackson’s behavior with words and phrases such as ‘meltdowns,’ ‘yells’ for no reason,’ ‘rages,’ ‘tantrums,’ ‘lashes out,’ and ‘aggressive.’ These witnesses also described RDML Jackson’s leadership style with terms such as ‘tyrant,’ ‘dictator,’ ‘control freak,’ ‘hallmarks of fear and intimidation,’ ‘crappy manager,’ and ‘not a leader at all,'” it adds.

On a presidential trip to Manila from April 22, 2014, to April 29, 2014, four witnesses who traveled with then-President Barack Obama and Jackson said that Jackson became intoxicated and made inappropriate comments about a female medical subordinate.

A witness interviewed by the IG said that shortly after arriving in Manila, Jackson began drinking in the hotel lobby, then got into a car with a drink in his hand “to go out on the town.” Another witness said he could smell alcohol on Jackson’s breath later that evening. Back at the hotel, one of the witnesses said he saw Jackson “pounding” on the door of his female subordinate’s room. When she opened the door, Jackson said, “I need you,” and, “I need you to come to my room.”

Witnesses also alleged that Jackson made a comment about a female medical subordinate’s breasts and buttocks during a presidential trip to Asia in April 2014. “Witness 1, a medical subordinate, told us that during the Asia trip, before arriving in Manila, RDML Jackson told him a female medical subordinate (Manila Witness 2), who was also on the trip, had ‘great t**s,’ and ‘what a nice a**,’ and that RDML Jackson also told Manila Witness 1 that he would ‘like to see more of her tattoos,'” the report says.

Two years later, in Bariloche, Argentina, two witnesses told the IG they saw Jackson drinking a beer while he was serving as the physician to the President and in charge of providing medical care for a presidential trip, despite regulations prohibiting him from 24 hours before the President’s arrival until two hours after he left. Jackson, the witnesses said, dismissed the regulation as “ridiculous.” Another witness said Jackson later smelled of alcohol, though she was unsure if he was drunk. One witness, identified in the report as “Bariloche Witness 5,” said he did not smell alcohol on Jackson during the trip.

These two allegations of alcohol use both occurred under the Obama administration, but the report details a series of incidents under both Obama and Trump in which Jackson lost his temper, cursing at subordinates.

Of the 60 witnesses interviewed by the Defense Department IG about the command climate under Jackson, only 13 had positive comments, while 38 spoke about unprofessional behavior, intimidation and poor treatment of subordinates.

Donald Trump Jr. to testify in Michael Cohen’s suit against Trump Organization

3/2/2021

Donald Trump Jr. is expected to testify in Michael Cohen’s lawsuit seeking over $750,000 in legal fees from the Trump Organization, according to Cohen’s attorney.

Cohen — a former lawyer and “fixer” to Trump’s ex-president dad — originally sued the Trump Organization for $2 million in legal fees he said he ran up because of his cooperation and testimony during probes into the then-commander-in-chief by special counsel Robert Mueller and several congressional committees.

Two of the five law firms that were seeking payment have since settled their claims, leaving roughly $766,000 in legal bills to be covered, Cohen’s lawyer Hunter Winstead explained during a video hearing in Manhattan Supreme Court Tuesday.

Winstead told the court that while they have taken five depositions in the case already, they have sought more, one of which is for “Donald Trump Jr., which we have been told would be provided, although we haven’t been given a date.”

Winstead said they will be asking the former president’s son questions about why the Trump Organization chose not to pay certain legal bills that Cohen incurred.

Cohen — who was an executive vice president of the Trump Organization for more than a decade — has argued in the case that he was promised that he would be legally covered for any work he did for the company.

Cohen is also seeking for former President Donald Trump to testify in his case now that he’s out of office.

At Tuesday’s hearing, Trump Organization lawyer Kenneth Caruso argued that the judge can’t force the former commander in chief’s deposition because he still hasn’t returned to helm his namesake organization.
